I was looking through some old pictures and came across this winner. It was my first week at Smile Perfect, and while Liz, Allie and I were driving to work we caught a glimpse of Dwight, pulled a U-turn and captured this fabulous pic! I`ll be honest, I didn`t even know who he was at the time, but just pretended to in order to fit in... haha, i`m so dumb!

Yesterday morning my brother, Dayne, rolled his car on his way to work. He was able to crawl out of it, even though it was pinched and laying on it's side. The ambulance took him to the nearest hospital in Pincher Creek, then transferred him to the Lethbridge hospital for further xrays. They found a fracture in his spine so he was flown to the hospital in Calgary to see a specialist. He is now waiting to get into surgery. It's really a scary thing to see a loved one strapped to a board with tubes coming out of everywhere! As corney as this may sound, remember to drive safe and don't take the time you have with your family for granted! So quickly can they be taken away. He will be in Calgary for probably another week recooperating. So far everything looks hopeful! He is sure a lucky guy. Thanks for your prayers and love!

I dyed my hair dark brown the other day. I was blonde for a couple weeks, then decided to become a brunette once again. After all, they do have more fun!

My grandparents celebrated their 50th anniversary this year - Congratulations!! I have always admired your marriage and the values that you have taught as parents and grandparents. I am so grateful to have been able to share this day with you and hope that you have many more anniversaries to come! Love you lots!!

To celebrate we rented a lodge in Island Park for 4 days. It was huge and beautiful and oh so much fun! When we weren't eating amazing meals, we were canoeing, horseback riding in the mountains, fishing, going to the Playmill (we saw Oklahoma - very cute!), playing games, talking around the campfire, or soaking in the hot tub. It was such a great time, thanks to those who planned and organized and made it all possible!!

During our trip to Island Park Dayne popped the question to his girlfriend, Melissa. They've set the date for October 11. I couldn't be more excited to have you as a sister Mel. Congratulations!

Sweet Grandma Lorraine

On June 30 my sweet Granny went to Heaven. I'm going to miss her so much! I have many, many good memories with her. She found out in November of last year that she had a brain tumor. Throughout her treatment and the last few months of her life she stayed strong and so brave. She will always be a great example to me of service, faith, and hard work. I learned so many things from her: how to wash dishes, make a bed, iron clothes, sew, crochet, knit, cook, bake rolls and pies, and sooo many other things as I've grown up. I always knew she loved me!

I love you Grandma and can't wait to see you again!

LC, Here I Come!

For the past 6 months I have been fretting over which school to go to and what for, and I have FINALLY decided. I applied to the Fashion Design and Merchandising program at a local college and found out last week that I got accepted! If all goes as planned I will transfer to Kwantlen University in British Columbia after 2 years to get my bachelor degree. I am soo excited to go back to school! At the beginning of the year I never would have thought that fashion design is what I would go into, but I'm really glad that I have been lead to this career choice. I'm excited to see what the future holds for me. Wish me luck!!

Dinner Party!

Last week Britt and I made dinner for some friends.

We made red bell pepper stuffed potatoes and

bbq'd us up some chicken/steak kabobs.

For dessert we had yummy ice cream cookie sandwiches

(with vanilla bean ice cream, I might add)

soooo good! And probably the best part too :)
